Our Story

Toi Tārewa is a proudly Māori-owned business dedicated to the creation of taonga that honour the stories, traditions, and artistry of our tīpuna. Working with bone, stone, and pounamu, we craft each piece with deep respect for the whenua, the whakapapa of our materials, and the cultural significance they carry.

Our mahi is guided by the belief that taonga are more than objects — they are connections. Connections to identity, to culture, and to the generations who came before us. Every design is shaped by intention, crafted by hand, and infused with the values of manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, and wairua.

At Toi Tārewa, we strive to ensure that each taonga finds its rightful home, becoming part of the stories of those who wear and cherish them. Whether you seek a meaningful gift, a personal symbol, or a piece of cultural heritage to carry forward, our creations are made to uplift, inspire, and endure.

He taonga tuku iho — treasures handed down.
